What each booking status means

A booking moves through a fixed set of states. The status tells you who is expected to do the next thing.

Symptoms

Pending confirmationYou have requested; the photographer has not yet accepted. Nothing is charged. They act next.
ConfirmedThey accepted. Your deposit secures the date. You act next.
DeclinedThey cannot take it. Nothing is owed. Book someone else.
Deposit paidThe date is held. Next is the session itself.
Session doneThe shoot happened. The photographer is editing.
Photos uploadedThe gallery exists. Full-resolution files unlock once the balance is settled.
CompletedEverything is paid and delivered. You can leave a review.
Cancelled or refundedThe booking ended early. Refunded means money was returned.

You can tell from the status alone whether you are waiting on someone or someone is waiting on you.
